Insight

Marucci had long been synonymous with the manufacturing of quality baseball bats. But not many people knew that Marucci made equipment for all aspects of diamond sports. This included sunglasses, batting gloves, duffel bags and fielding gloves.

Marucci's ask was to help them promote their fielding gloves at one of their flagship events – The Marucci World Series – hosted at Louisiana State University Baseball Stadium.

Idea

We decided to launch a campaign around the fielding gloves that was featured in and around the focal point of the Marucci World Series. We faceted an omni-channel campaign focusing on print, mobile, outdoor, video, and experiential

The campaign featured the differentiating factors of Marucci fielding gloves and what made them superior to its competitors. We featured high impact action shots featuring the gloves with various marketing messages.

We also had giveaways for Lucky fans who attended the Marucci World Series. They were able to demo the gloves, try out the gloves, and even have one custom-made from in-house Marucci glove designers.

Impact

The campaign proved to be a success with awareness of the Marucci Fielding gloves rising over 43%

Surveys conducted at the Marucci World Series also demonstrated that consumers saw the Fielding Glove Campaign and were now aware that Marucci offered such products.

Online the impact was felt with over net sentiment rising 17% and conversation in and around the Glove Campaign spiking at 81%!
